Ron

who has performed with The Four Tops, Spencer

the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.
His current keyboard activities include:
The
Ronnie Davis Combo is a classic organ trio performing
funky soul-jazz and groove blues favorites ala Jimmy
Smith, Groove Holmes, Jimmy McGriff, Wes Montgomery
and Brother Jack McDuff. The combo also performs
original tunes in both the traditional and comtemporary
soul-jazz genre.
The
show also features vocals by Ron Davis covering
tunes by Ray Charles, Taj Mahal,
Bob Dylan, Mose Allison and others. The lineup
is Ron on organ and left hand bass, Doug Morgano
on
guitar and Rob Lynch on drums, along with guest
vocalists and players.
The
Ron Davis solo piano act encompasses his singing
and playing a range of juke joint blues and boogie
woogie as well as the New Orleans styles of Professor
Longhair and Doctor John. Ron also plays jazz,
swing and standards ranging from Ramsey Lewis to
Duke Ellington,
as well as funky versions of Beatles and Stones
classics. The addition of left hand “acoustic bass” on
some tunes gives the act a full, danceable sound.
Ron is also available as a sideman for bands and
vocalists.
